Who said white is not for Winter?

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

White is a colour that we use to wear in Spring/Summer more than in Winter. One of the reasons is because white is a cold colour and we prefer to wear dark, warm colours during these months, but white can also be warm, you just need to know how to do it and  do it in a stylish way 😉 Here I made a selection of the best white outfits worn by celebrities like Poppy Delevingne or Olivia Palermo and from the streetstyle. The keys of this looks are to keep it all white and play a little bit with the colour with the accessories, or include some hints in bright or natural -depending on your personality- colours to break the monochrome. And also, you can just wear in white a big important part of your look, such as a coat or a pair of jeans, to add some light to your outfit.

Do you dare to wear it? 😉

#AccessoryAlert: Fur collars and stoles!

fur collar worn on celebrities: kim kardashian, olivia palermo, ciara

Yes, I know that I’m a bit obsessed with accessories right now… -admitting it is the first step, isn’t it? 🙂 – but it is that I think they can change the entire idea of a look. Adding a beanie to a simple look with white shirt and black jeans can transform that outfit from classic to causal, or adding a piece of jewellery can make it perfect for a party night 🙂 I recommend to invest in accessories when you need to save money. From my point of view it is wiser than buying the key product of the season. I mean, I always think about it in this way, if you bought the skirt that everyone else is wearing, you could not wear it everyday because it would seem that you don’t have any more clothes, but, instead of that, if you bought a nice necklace you can wear it in all your looks and it would not look weird!! It will add just a little change that will shine your looks!

The items that I want to talk about are a good example of that: the fur collars -or stoles-. I’ve seen them all everyday on the street, celebrities and they look really cute! If you were thinking to ask Santa to bring you one fur waistcoat or coat… you might reconsider it after this post 😉

Fur collars/stoles give that touch of fur that make your outfit sophisticated and warm 🙂 They are worn over on coats, jackets, cardigans, trenches… but I think they work perfectly with leather jackets. You just need to wear them over the lapels and… MAGIC!! 🙂

They are some good ones that you can fin:

1. River Island has the most coloured ones!

2. On Tophsop you can find a leopard print version and this pale pink maribou feather collar, I know it’s not fur but… isn’t it lovely?

3. Accessorize has just one:

4. Asos has the longest collars on Internet, but they still look amazing!

I didn’t find any collar on the Spanish retail Empire of Inditex 😦 or H&M… Well, on H&M I’m aware that there was one, cause I saw it on some looks on Instagram but now it’s not there 😦

PS: Plain Chloé has started an Instagram account!!! Follow it so that you can be notified of the latest news!!

Arrow

I would like to recommend you a TV show: Arrow. Have you heard about it? I started watching it this summer when all my favourite series were paused and, in the end, I like it.  I know it is a bit unreal, one guy that try to save his home city dressing up like a Robin Hood… But it is a good way to relax from routine. And don’t you think it has some similarities with Batman or is it just me?

But here is a little gossip: Katie Cassidy, the actress who plays Laurel Lance, has become blogger!!! I found out a few days before and I couldn’t keep it to myself! I needed to share it!!

Her blog is called Tomboy KCthere you will find information about several subjects like beauty, trips, lifestyle…. And what I like most: What Katie wore.

Her style is full of jeans and boots in basic colours. She has that kind of style that she can wear simple outfits, that on everyone else wouldn’t catch any attention, but on her they do.

What do you think?

#StyleIcon: Suki Waterhouse

Suki Waterhouse style

I started hearing about this girl when she started dating  Bradley Cooper, before that, at least for me, she was completely unknown…  But during this time I’ve been following her I saw the strong personal style she has. Some people compare her with the heiress of Siena Miller’s style… something that I don’t agree 100%, they might share some inspiration or thoughts but Siena’s style is, in my opinion, finer.

On the other hand, Suki’s style is much fuller of mixtures and her stylish line remind me Brigitte Bardot… but not sure if that is because of her hair cuts or actually her style…  Anyway, I find really interesting her looks that are very wearable for everyone. 🙂

Do you like her style? Or do you prefer Siena Miller?

Massimo Dutti: October Lookbook

Recently Massimo Dutti has posted on its website the lookbook for this month, a bit late considering that this month is almost over… Anyway, it follows perfectly the main line of its philosophy -classic  and neutral colored outfits-, but this time counts on the combination of marine blue and black. I’d always heard that these two colors couldn’t be together but then the designers started using it in their collections and… voilà!! Everyone (me included) loves it now!

The ideas for women haven’t impressed me much, I just like the coats, they seem very warm and stylish for the winter. But there is no suggested look that have left me with my mouth opened…. Again, too classy and safe.

On the other hand, men looks are a bit sporty than usual with brown and dark blue palette. I loved the little detail of the burgundy bow tie in one of the looks.  And… by the way, don’t you think the model looks like  Johannes Huebl but a bit mature?

#RoyalStyle: Charlotte Casiraghi

Charlotte Casiraghi's style

Charlotte Casiraghi’s style

Charlotte Casiraghi is the most glamorous princess, she obviously inherited that from her grandmother Grace Kelly, it is in her genes. Her style reflects her youth and she always keeps it very natural.

Charlotte Casiraghi Causal style

In her every day looks she wears simple and classy outfits, usually in dark colors, trying to pass unnoticed…

But in parties she is, what you expect of a royal princess, an example of sophistication and elegance.

She doesn’t lose her beautiful style even when she is pregnant.

I think one of the influences of her distinguished style is her passion for equestrian, a topic used many times in trends in fashion.

Do you agree? Do you have another royal style icon? Queen Rania of Jordan is another that I would like to dedicate a future post…  COMING SOON 😉 🙂

Georgina Doull a good example

I found Georgina Doull at Lookbook.nu last weekend and immediately decided that I should write a post of her. She is the best example of Fashion is for everyone, all types included. You can be a blogger no matter how you are, the fashion world is big enough for everyone.

I really admire what she is doing, because I think she is giving a great contribution to this (pro-skinny) society and she must be an example to follow to all girls who don’t feel comfortable with theirs bodies and need to get some confidence. I think she [maybe?] has invented the best therapy for that as she said on her blog:

“I decided to start this blog after being a regular poster on the Fatshionista LiveJournal community. Finding that community changed my whole outlook on life, I was fat (still am) & unhappy with myself (not so much now). I was amazed to find a place where fat people celebrated their bodies, instead of being ashamed. This was the first I had heard of Fat Acceptance. I started off by posting 1 outfit, then more & more as I wasn’t hated just for being fat. My confidence grew & grew, until I decided to start a blog so I could have my own space showcasing outfits.
My confidence has grown tenfold over the past few years, just by posting photos of myself & showing off my outfits. My style is very unique, I love to mix & match key trends with my own cute/quirky twist. Not everyone will like it, but it is inherently me & I love dressing only for myself!”

She had started to share her looks on a fashion community, then came her blog Cupcake’s Clothes and finally she launched an online business, Dolly Darling, where you can buy handmade accessories.

She teaches us, even though we are not in the same situation, we just need to be ourselves and forget about what people could say.
